Prijs nu gestegen ondanks toegezegde 500.000 bpd extra bovenop het echte huidige niveau. Waarom? Volgens marketwatch.com:
Prices likely found support late in the session from doubts that OPEC will be able to raise production by that much, some analysts said.

Doch als de economie in de Usa afkoelt zal de olieprijs ook (tijdelijk) sterk zakken.

Olie en vooral (Amerikaanse) aardgasprijs schiet net omhoog wegens aanslagen in Mexico. Interessante timing.

Het ziet ernaar uit dat je in ieder geval voor Oktober gelijk krijgt Paul:

Top oil exporter Saudi Arabia has told customers in Asia and Europe it will keep its crude supplies steady for October from September levels, backing expectations that an OPEC meeting on Tuesday will maintain supply curbs.

State oil firm Saudi Aramco informed buyers in monthly notices it would continue to supply Asian lifters with around 10% below their full contractual volume, as it has since April, industry sources in Japan and South Korea said on Monday.

Je zou een weddenschap op de uitkomst kunnen openen. Ik zet op een “voorlopig” gelijkblijvende totale OPEC-productie. Of dat geologisch of strategisch is, blijft nog even een geheimpje – tenzij ASPO dat volgende week verklapt.
